This project focuses on Livingstonia Synod, a Church that is predominantly found in Northern Malawi and its engagement of grassroots women in poverty alleviation. Through the lenses of African Women Theologies and Gender and Development theory the study aims to investigate how best the church can effectively engage grassroots women in a development methodology that is people centred.
